Discoveries of the water nature, and its impact on living beings

The first discovery

Usual natural water is a mixture of different water molecules, including water molecules containing is deuterium instead of hydrogen.

Urey, H.; Brickwedde, F.; Murphy, G. (1932). "A Hydrogen Isotope of Mass 2 and its concentation". Physical Review 39: 164.

The second discovery

Heavy water is harmful to living beings.

Lewis, G. N. ,Biology of heavy water. Science, 79, 151 (1934)

The third discovery

Water from which even small amounts of heavy water are removed (i.e. "light water") is beneficial for plants and animals.

Toroptsev I. et al. Biological role of heavy water in living organisms. Questions of radiobiology and hematology, publishing house of Tomsk University, 1966 (Ru)

The fourth discovery

Health of a person and the nation in general is highly dependent on the concentration of heavy water in drinking water.

Scientists have discovered a significant correlation between the content of heavy water in drinking (tap) water and the prevalence of depression in the corresponding area.

The difference in disease incidence statistics reaches 50% even within natural deviations.

Experiments on animals show that with the decrease in the concentration of heavy water mammals are less prone to depression and are more hedonic.
